Fly Easy flies Supercomputer

The Santos Dumont Supercomputer received an upgrade in November and Fly Easy’s expertise was called up to organize this complex operation.

The whole logistics setup took 11 months. A very detailed planning was required to safely move the 19Tons equipment from the city of Angers to Charles de Gaulle and then from CDG to Rio de Janeiro GIG. Our team worked closely with the freight forwarder in order to advice and prevent every aspect of the shipment, including road transport and special safety requirements due to the challenging operational conditions in order to keep the equipment integrity.

The result was a successful operation which departed on time and fulfilled absolutely every aspect required. “Even with unexpected last minute hick ups we guided the client through the process and helped them to solve all the issues and to remain calm and confident, so everything went well in the end” commented Vanderlei Bittencourt, Fly Easy Charter Manager who coordinated cargo offload at GIG. 

A special ceremony will be offered for the super computer inauguration which will be attended by Brazilian President later in December. This is another showcase of Fly Easy capabilities to organize super complex projects.
